Synopsis

Launched in the mid-1980s, these quarterly special editions of Weekly Shonen Jump consistently showcased one-shot stories from emerging artists who would later become industry legends. The publication is also recognized for continuing the serialization of Bastard!! following its departure from the mainline weekly magazine. The seasonal release schedule concluded in 1996, at which point the line was succeeded by Akamaru Jump—a tri-annual publication that omitted the fall issue.
