A thick, monthly shonen manga anthology magazine published by Square Enix. Launched in 1991 to compete with other major shonen magazines, it is the flagship publication of the Gangan Comics imprint. It is famously known for its massive page counts and for serving as the original serialization home for hit fantasy series such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater.
