Akira

Synopsis

Set in a post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo after World War III, 'Akira' follows Kaneda, a biker gang leader, and his friend Tetsuo, who develops powerful telekinetic abilities after a motorcycle accident. As Tetsuo's powers grow out of control, he becomes entangled in a secret government project centered around a mysterious psychic entity known as Akira. Kaneda must join forces with an anti-government resistance movement to stop Tetsuo before his unstable powers destroy the city once again.
